I turned in my second round of revisions to my editor today. I think this will be all. There might be some small tweaks and tightening, but I don't anticipate any more major changes to the book.
What happens next?
Well, next comes copyedits. That's the one that fine tunes the grammar, punctuation, and continuity. I'm not sure what to expect when it comes to copyedits and THE NEW NORMAL, but I suspect my love for em-dashes will come under scrutiny. We'll see, huh?
Right now I know that my release date will be sometime in June 2012 and that ARCs will likely go out at the end of this year. THIS YEAR! How exciting is that?! When I have a date, I'll be sure to let you know.
As for me, I'm going to take a few days off and do some reading. I've got good feelings about a few things in my TBR pile, so expect a Trish Recommends. I'm also going to be applying for writer's residencies around the country. There's no guarantee that I'll be chosen, but there's no harm in trying. Whether I'm selected or not, my attention will be back on ALL THAT WAS LOST very soon, so look for the return of WIP Wednesday, too.
